FAQ

Is there a hack to win easy as 1 Cultist?

Nope. People think most of the time that Cultist have an easy win. This works in the 1st game because people don’t understand that encounters are bad for them. If you try to avoid encounters, the Cultist will have a hard time. The only 1 Cultist can end the game at the end of each round, but if he is too aggro, Investigators can vote him out before and he loses the game.
However, if players don’t check puls-status of other players or ignoring to collect books, the Cultist will have an easy game.

Is there a hack to win easy as 2 Cultists?

Nope. People think most of the time that Cultists have an easy win. This works in the 1st game because people don’t understand that encounters are bad for them. If you try to avoid encounters, the Cultists will have a hard time. 2 Cultists can’t talk to each other, so they never know if they have enough killed Investigators at the table, so they must be patient until the game ends. The 2 Cultists need their last needed Investigator kill in the pre-round or earlier, otherwise Investigators win if all Cultists became a Ghost.
However, if players don’t check puls-status of other players or ignoring to collect books, the Cultists will have an easy game.

What is the symbol on the clock next to round 5 & 6?

    The reminder for the „Firestarter“-role.

What are the brown cards for?

    They are just dividers.

Can Ghosts still talk and vote?

Yes and yes. However, they can’t start a vote!

No hand cards left, how does an encounter work now?

You don’t give a card, but you still receive cards for your pulse deck.

Are the books /point-win useless?

Nope! In 20-25% of all games, this is the win you will see. This way you can make pressure for the Cultists. Cultists don’t know how long the game will be, but you can achieve all needed books in rounds 7-10 if you work clever.

Encounter with 3+ players, how many cards to will each player receive?

Every player will give exactly 1 card to a target of their choice. Player can receive more than 1 card (if more players chose the same target).

Why do I shuffle the handcards and why am I not allowed to sort them?

Investigators have no choices which cards they add to a room or pulse. Cultists have choices, so if all players look at them before picking and playing a card secretly, this helps the Cultists for better gameplay. It would be boring if people pick handcards which are laying on the table and they just pick if they see the back of the card. No reason to make it more difficult for the Cultists. The same rule also exists in Secret Hitler btw., this is nothing new and you don’t need to act which card you will chose.
You can also choose your handcard under the table if you think this is needed, we don’t do this because it works perfectly if you use the AC setup.
